OUR KITESURFING LESSONS
Our proven learn to kite method based on IKO is a systematic approach to teaching people the proper mechanics of the act of kite surfing. Our lessons incorporate a land portion to learn beginner basic like launching and land and plenty of time in the water with our instructors to catch some wind!

PRIVATE LESSONS
Discovery Kiteboarder Level 1 - Discover how to "master the wind power"
You want to master the elements and discover the amazing sport of kiteboarding? Your IKO Instructor will help introduce you to the sport and teach you various safety rules and skills on land before going into the water; The safety training will teach and show you how to assess the wind and physical location, as well as show you how to properly manage the equipment; set-up; and control the trainer kite.
Intermediate Kiteboarder Level 2 - Learn to harness the power of your kite in the water!
It is time to get in the water and attempt your first water start with your IKO Instructor. You will now put your skills to the test and experience the full potential of the wind. You will learn to use the kite power to body drag in all possible directions, water relaunch your kite, self rescue, recover your board; and become proficient enough to begin riding on your own!
Independent Kiteboarder Level 3 - Ride independently and learn a few tricks like your first jump!
It's time to become an independent rider and the more you learn, the more passionate you will become about kiteboarding! On this course, your IKO Instructor will show you how to ride upwind, toe-side,, and help you focus on higher skills like controlling your speed by edging, changing direction without stopping, self-launching and self-landing safely. As an independent rider, you’ll be able to ride on your own and rent equipment wherever you go.
KITE LESSONS FOR KIDS
Our goal when we are teaching kids to kite is to make sure that they understand the safety and responsibility of kiteboarding before moving into the power section of learning. We separate the sport into a kite sport and a board sport. We constantly are switching back and forth between these two sports until they have a high level of understanding of both. The final step is combining the sports together and letting them rip. We never set a time goal for kids, but we do set fun goals and keep them engaged in all steps of the learning process. Once the safety topics have been covered, in general, kids learn faster than adults.
GROUP LESSONS
One of the reasons Kenya Kite enjoys the reputation of a reliable and safe centre is that we know the perfect balance between an individual and group approach. We inspire team spirit in all the groups, but also pay close attention to each and every group member. We make sure each student learns the proper kiting technique and builds a solid foundation. Even though it may seem there are very few rules in surfing, that’s not the case. That’s why we take time first to explain various techniques and rules before our students take their kites and boards and head for the ocean. Our lessons are well-organized and our instructors methodical – your safety is our top priority!
